Artifact #6
Project Description: For this project we had to choose a style of writing and then explore a tension. We learned about many styles of writing and even had a professional come in and help us. We had the option to choose from poetry, analytical paper, and an articlce. I chose to write an analytical piece on the tension between white settlers and native americans. All of our work will be displayed to the community through a book.
Artifact #4
Project Description: For this unit we went through the different styles and devices of poetry to practice and get more comfortable with writing poetry. We then had the choice of using what we learned about poetry and writing a final piece for the book. I ended up not writing a poem for the book, but I did write a pracitce poem to show what I learned about poetry. My poem is how I feel when I'm out back country skiing and relating back to life.
Artifact #3
Project Description: For this project we red a book about a boy who went into the past and was a passenger in other peoples body. Each body that he was in taught him a message and in the end he was a new person. He learned from his mistakes. When we were done reading the book we then had to find a message that was shown throughout the book and write a paper on it. For my paper I wrote about how he transformed into a new person from the begining to the end of the book.
