Action Project
For my action project, I decided to do an internship with Mountain Studies Institute. With MSI I helped analyze data from Hermosa Creeks to determine how the 416 fire has effected turbidity. Along with analyzing the creek turbidity and water level, I had the opportunity to look at aquatic life and the story they can tell based on their size and population. I then helped organize games and run the San Juan Resilience Summit. Separately, from my internship I have been conducting research on the most sustainable way to reduce your carbon footprint. For the end of April and May, I have been biking to school and then back home, to try and reduce how much carbon I emit through my driving. Following this research I plan on focusing more on my consumption of food, energy, and other things that also add to my carbon footprint.
